The following addresses were first delivered at St. John's Anglican Church, Lunenburg as the basis for the annual retreat of Anglican faculty and students of the Atlantic School of Theology in October 1984.

Updated and revised, they once again served me as the basis of a series of Teachings I gave at the Diocese of Keewatin Catechists' School in Muskratdam Lake, Ontario in March 1985.

In addition, they were distributed to Layreaders in the Diocese of Fredericton for reflection and study for Lent 1985.
