The chameleon practice of a growing number
of Anglicans yearning to worship in the Temple of Success is
curious in the extreme. In some instances it resembles a
semi-curtsey with the knee locked in mid-descent and the ligaments
responding in such a way so as to return the body to a standing
posture, demonstrating the minimum of committed obeisance. The benefit is that
minimal wear and tear to the joint allows for crumbs to be picked up and eaten too, so to speak. |
