November twelfth is Armistice, plus one

we mark the time’s extraordinary slaughter

when Babel’s tower once more began to totter

and all accomplished in the years, undone.

A century of cruel death it was;

but more: the overthrow of decent order

the ravage of respected long held borders

the naked show of power without pause.

It was the century God make very clear to all

No intervention will protect us from our fall.
