Introduction to the Gospel for Easter Season

Eternal Wounds Luke 24:44-53

So few His words, so short His earthly life,

so failed His enterprise, His end disgraced

but in that corner of our global space

He conquered, on a cross, our death and strife.

At first obscure, that victory changed the world,

removed all obstacles to human growth,

bequeathed repentance and forgiveness, both;

and over all that is, God’s flag unfurled.

everywhere, displays His wounds of love and grace.
