Sonnets to enhance the Lectionary
Introduction to the Gospel for Easter Season
All Things Shall Be Well

All Things shall Be Well
No fantasy of over-heated hope
this living Person standing in the room;
with wounds of death but risen from the tomb.
Together, joy and disbelief! And who can cope?
Spirit-filled, his flesh is resurrected life,
victorious over human sin and death.
He breathes God’s fresh, life-giving breath
We witness to love’s triumph over strife.
What good and perfect news is ours tell!
All good will come, and all things shall be well!
