To know your father’s love, and his approval

Is an inner strength beyond our reckoning;

a guiding keel when wayward winds are beckoning;

against the drift, (the force of disapproval).

To do his Father’s will, the perfect task;

united both in being and action, they;

transforming human life from night to day

and for authority the Son need only ask.

Now we are sons and daughters, in the Son

we too, beloved - God well pleased with us

God, our foundation, wall and roof and truss

and in that house, both we and Christ are one.

Christ by John baptized begins his wondrous deed;

We are involved; we witness, God and Christ succeed!
