Tuesday in Holy Week

Isaiah was self-conscious that he was given as a light to the nations. How are we to understand this metaphor? How are you a light to the nations? Try to be as specific as you can.

We rely a great deal on our sight. Visual impairment makes life very difficult. We rely on our sense of sight so much that we incorporate the metaphor into our speech. I see what you mean, we say. And we are quick to add, Seeing is believing! What sort of vision is Paul suggesting here in this passage?
