Mustard Seed
It only takes a few, said Jesus Christ. A snowball can make avalanches a mustard seed, a tree with many branches. A prayer, or martyr’s life self-sacrificed can make a nation. What the future needs is not foreseen; what will be the precedents. Whether good or ill, acts may tip events; seeds on fertile ground, overcome the weeds. Trust those who follow to take up the good, to find the tiny treasure in the field, to recognize a thing’s potential yield to understand what few have understood. Each deed may set tomorrow’s smorgasbord, the dish on which a future truth is stored. . |
