Happy Song
Sing me a song of happiness, of joy of laughter and tomorrow’s jubilee; debts forgiven, all the oppressed go free, future secure for every girl and boy. Sing me a song of plenty and of peace of children loved, in turn, parents revered where friendship grows among the things once feared swords into plowshares, all dissensions cease. Sing me a song of healing, song of hope of lifting those down trodden from the dirt. Of sharing, giving, helping where it hurts where homeless have the where-with-all to cope. Right, merrily would banish every wrong If justice came by music and by song .
