Green for Growing
Like the thrush’s spring-song finds the mate, Like the salmon climbs the falls to spawn Like sunflowers turns to face the dawn - we come alive; the Spirit animates. Like right ideas come to consciousness, Like the mind leaps through the dark to truth, like endless work to verify the proof the Spirit bids us take the Spirit’s quest. Like the bee finds honey in the flow’rs Like the flower beckons prettily Saying to the insect "here, see me, see me!" Thus the Spirit’s multitude of powers! Green for growing is the summer’s proper hue And green for Pentecost, for Spirit-life anew.
