No doubt God’s intervention Easter morn

released transforming power into life;

to heal all hurt, to put an end to strife

to find the lost and comfort the forlorn.

So great a bursting forth! The eleven

could not believe; were skeptical, afraid

of the new reality which God had made;

that they on earth were one with God in heav’n,

that they were given to know the mystery;

that henceforth they themselves were ris’n with Christ

possessors of the pearl so greatly priced,

the tipping point of sacred history!
