An Imperfect Life poetry by Fr. Harold Macdonald |

Time stretches in the afternoon; each minute is an hour! Will evening ever come? Hurry not the QED, fini, the sum! Hello! The race is done and who can win it? But say, “Longer hours bring longer leisure”. Therefore out-laze the dragging feet of time. Say an extra prayer, mint another rhyme add a nugget more to this day’s treasure. When all seems stopped and nothing scarcely breathes Remember time stands still at light’s huge speed; when at rest, you move very fast indeed, too quick to see the bushes for the trees Basking in the warm, late, summer afternoon You speed towards your end, so soon, so soon! |
