Yeshua (Jesus) knew the weight of the Talith over his head, the warmth of the prayer shawl about his shoulders.

Prayer was not casual, accidental. 

Prayer was intentional, deliberate. 

The phylacteries may have reminded him of Joseph who may have given him
these symbols of prayerful discipline.
