To a Hesitant Soul

Little chick,

quick,

The Lord has risen.

Burst open your shell,

your passions quell.

Open up to your Lord

with full accord.

Rejoice, look around,

you’re on holy ground.

Listen

The birds, the bees,

the wind in the trees,

all nature in adoration.

No more lamentation,

it’s time for jubilation,

see God’s image in all creation

Sometimes we feel ground

like wheat.

That’s a purifying,

a dying.

But life’s flying,

eternity is nighing.

Little Chick,

quick.

The lord has truly risen,

Alleluia.
