Forgiveness
The end of the year I shed a tear Oh! Yes a tear of joy, For all the love, the goodness shown. For suffering and for sadness too, and kindness unknown.
Would that I had always smiled, when suffering came my way. The hurts, the wounds that went so deep, yes, deep but not to stay. For these, no tears I shed, for they are past, Forgiven, yes forgiven. Forgotten, maybe not in full, but certainly forgiven.
Dear friend of mine, remember this. Forgetting is but human. So now, this year rise up and shine, for to forgive, is Mercy Divine.
The tears of joy that I have shed are for so many graces. Oh God, how much you love me so. May I in turn let others know the love with which you embrace us.
