God of goodness, bless our food.
Keep us in a pleasant mood.
Bless the cooks, and all who serve us -
From indigestion, Lord, preserve us! Amen.
Give us a good digestion, Lord,
And something to digest.
And where and how that something comes,
We leave to Thee, who knowest best. Amen.
Thank you, Lord, for bread and meat,
For all the good things that we eat.
Thank you for our fellowship here -
For old and new friends, each one dear.
Assist we pray all those in need -
May we help by word and deed.
We sing your praise with psalm and hymn,
And bless, we pray, good Canon Jim! Amen.
