Come, thou long-expected schism

Come, thou long-expected schism,
Formed in culture’s deep divide;
Let’s ignore our common chrism,
And with like minds be allied.

Southern Cone or Western cultures,
Lines are drawn that can’t be crossed;
Primates swoop like starving vultures
Lest the faithful few be lost.

Change the sexual orientation
For a person’s skin or race;
We’ve dismissed such pigmentation
And the shape of people’s face.

Moving onward, we adore Him
Who for all gave up his life;
Black and white, Hindu and Muslim,
Man and man or man and wife.
