Parents Existing To Always Lend Support
November 29, 2001 an ecumenical Christmas Memorial Service was held by parents and friends of children who died in infancy or never came to term due to miscarriage. The Service featured poetry readings, reflective musical selections chosen by parents, a Scripture Reading and brief homily, and the lighting of candles. Souvenir angel ornaments were distributed to parents, grandparents and godparents: angels with blue ribbon wings for boys, pink ribbon wings for girls and silver ribbon wings for those who did not come to term.
The Christmas Memorial event is planned to be held annually prior to Christmas, and augmented with monthly support meetings.
