I have noticed this phenomenon for quite a while. Only recently did someone suggest that a page be posted documenting the occurrences. I know that It's a Wonderful Life is a Christmas flick. And so are the many variants on A Christmas Carol. Worthy of note, I think, are the dozens of non-seasonal-specific films that mention Christmas... and usually when Christmas adds nothing to the story line or plot development!

A very high number
of films - more in fact than you might imagine - make at least an oblique
reference to Christmas. Sometimes it is only in the set - a street
seasonally decorated, or an unobtrusive tree festooned in a Yule-tide
living room. Sometimes Christmas is referred to in the dialogue.
