St. Paul’s Cathedral, Melbourne has the correct f-stop. “Why should Santa get all the action?” thought Father Howard Langmead as he watched children line up to have their photos taken with Santa at his local shopping centre. “I imagined children having their photos taken with Jesus to celebrate his birth,” he said, “and decided to see if we could organise that.” Last year a simple nativity scene was set up in St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral, Melbourne. People from St. John’s Church, West Brunswick, made costumes so that children could choose to be in the scene as an angel, shepherd, wise person, Mary, Joseph or even baby Jesus. Photographer, Gavin Hansford, took the photos. The positive response from the public and interest by the media exceeded any expectations. |
